Activity Tracking Smart Insole

The research focused on the design and optimization of triboelectric sensors, aiming to enhance their sensitivity and durability for dependable performance in applications interfaced with human skin. The project developed an ergonomically designed insole that integrates self-powered triboelectric sensors. These sensors are strategically positioned to map foot pressure points accurately, facilitating precise posture recognition. This technology is specifically tailored for healthcare applications, providing valuable data for medical analysis and treatment.

Additionally, the research involved detailed nano-scaled characterization of tribovoltaic sensors. Advanced techniques were employed to analyze and enhance the efficiency and functionality of these sensors. The insole is capable of actively monitoring an athlete's posture changes and weight balance, delivering critical insights for optimizing training regimens. This integration of triboelectric sensors in footwear represents a significant advancement in both healthcare monitoring and athletic training.
